The Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium has drawn up a list of eleven recommendations to implement during events with mass attendance of people these holidays. The measures aim to learn how to react and act in the event of an incident.
The Area Councilor, Francisco Aparicio, stresses the importance of following the established security instructions, "since they aim to ensure the comfort and well-being of people during these events with a large influx of public."
Among the activities with the highest concentration of people, the parades of their Majesties the Three Wise Men, concerts, cultural activities or celebrations in fairgrounds, among others, stand out.
Recommendations
- When you go to any public place, always locate the emergency exits and try not to block them, as well as their accesses.
- Whatever the type of event, always place yourself in a safe place, without exceeding the safety limits established by the organization.
- Do not stand in places from which you could fall if you were pushed, such as railings, walls or stairs.
- In the Three Kings parades, keep children always in sight, and do not stand behind the animals.
- In pyrotechnic displays, be very careful with the incandescent fragments that fall.
- In the event of an incident, respect the instructions of the organization.
- Do not push in case of crowding.
- Never use elevators in case of emergency.
- If there are injured, do not move them if you do not have first aid knowledge, unless the place where they are is not safe.
- Also, always keep calm.
- In case of having to evacuate a venue, do it using the exits and evacuation routes established.
