The Centers for Art, Culture and Tourism have set up a room in the Islote de Fermina to offer a unique visual experience of Jameos del Agua and Cueva de los Verdes to people with reduced mobility (PRM).
The Entity's counselor, Ángel Vázquez, presented this Tuesday the initiative at an event that was attended by representatives and users of associations and groups of people with reduced mobility on the island, who have become the protagonists of this premiere.
“We put technology at the service of people and break down the accessibility barriers that exist in spaces where it is not possible to intervene, due to their geological and heritage characteristics, with a solution that guarantees the possibility of enjoying the emotional journey that these two jewels of the island's heritage offer to all people,” said the Entity's counselor, Ángel Vázquez.
With just the push of a button, this unprecedented experience facilitates access to Jameos del Agua and Cueva de los Verdes through a subjective video shot by a drone that moves and travels through both centers at the height of a person in a wheelchair. Accompanied by the original soundtrack that accompanies the visit, the viewer is immersed in a first-person experience that leads them to discover the secrets hidden in these emblematic spaces.
Groups interested in enjoying this experience should contact the Tourist Centers' commercial department to arrange the most appropriate date and time.
