The countdown begins for the highly anticipated first weekend of concerts of the Lava Live Fest, which will begin in Arrecife next Friday, June 13 with performances by Residente and Orishas, and will continue on Saturday the 14th with the historic presence in Lanzarote of the Mexican band Maná.

"A kilometer 0 festival that reaffirms its commitment to a more responsible, egalitarian and environmentally friendly management model, through various initiatives focused on environmental sustainability, social inclusion and the promotion of equality and against sexual violence," the organization said in a statement.

To this end, Lava Live Fest will have an environmental audit and the calculation of the carbon footprint, developed by the Canarian consultancy MJC Ambiental, specialized in accompanying organizations towards a more sensitive and conscious approach to their events.

The festival will promote the use of LED lighting, recyclable and biocompostable materials, the minimization of plastic waste and the promotion of the circular economy through collaboration with local suppliers. Reusable cups will also be dispensed, which can be returned at the end of the evening or kept for use in subsequent concerts.

In the social sphere, Lava Live Fest is consolidated as "an inclusive and egalitarian space, with a program that integrates artists from diverse generations and origins, and the promotion of female presence in leadership roles within the organization." In addition, the Agramar venue will have a Violet Point at all concerts, a fundamental initiative to prevent and act against situations of gender violence and generate safe spaces.

The festival will also have an Orange Point free of physical barriers and equipped with resources, interpreters, information and support to facilitate the enjoyment of concerts for people with special needs. Its offer includes sensory vests, devices that use vibrations to allow deaf or hard of hearing people to feel the music.
