The Teguiband Musical Association (Teguise Music Band) celebrated the last concert corresponding to this year 2023 last Friday afternoon in the Santo Domingo convent.

As the director, Ayoze Rodríguez, explained at the beginning of the concert, the members, men and women who are part of the Band, wanted something different, although respecting the canons already established for these musical groups, but giving the public a fresh, novel and fun show that in these troubled times we are living in, being able to bring a smile would be a great objective.

The concert was called 'BandAges of music', dedicated to the best music covering from the 70s to the first decade of the 21st century with special arrangements for each of the sections that were performed such as the 70s and 80s, Superhits of the 90s, Coldplay and Spanish Pop.

Once each of the sections was finished and putting a spark of humor into it, they searched the back of their closets and some members formed a couple and participated in a tiny 'fashion show', with the trends that marked each of the decades already mentioned. And to refresh the public's memory, a section was also added with some of the local, national and international events that made the front pages of newspapers, radio and television news. An idea by Tito González Sicilia, a member of the group, who with great detail and a spark of humor more than achieved the set objective.

The audience was able to enjoy a totally different concert, where many were able to remember some of the soundtracks of their lives performed with great professionalism. The 30 members, men and women, directed by Professor Ayoze Rodríguez achieved their objective, which was at all times supported by applause and when the end came they had to continue with two encores at the request of the public who stood up and said goodbye.

The final photo with the mayoress of the Teguise Town Hall, Olivia Duque, the Councilor for Culture and Festivals, Francisco Javier Díaz, and colleagues from the municipal government group put the finishing touch to a different and fun night.
