Villa de Teguise already smells like Christmas, a place where tradition is renewed every year without losing an iota of its essence. Witness to this was the public that last Saturday night completely packed the three naves of the Church of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe to enjoy the musical called 'They Sing to Christmas'.

A musical that consisted of two parts, the first starring the 'Coral Polifónica Villa de Teguise' directed by Professor Nuvi Tavio. The 20 choristers performed a repertoire with Christmas overtones, songs that remind many of their childhood spent in the warmth of home, for many of those present happy and at the same time nostalgic moments when the first chords of songs such as Gloria al Niño, En la fría Noche, El noi de la Mare, Adeste Fideles or Campanas de Belén (Campanas sobre Campanas) began to sound. Songs that reach deep inside if they are sung with the heart as interpreted by the choristers of the 'Coral Polifónica Villa de Teguise' who received as a prize the affection and applause of the public.

The second part of the concert was performed by the 'Coro Canarias Gospel Choir' which is the adult choir in the Canary Islands of the Gospel School of the Canary Islands founded in 2017 and directed by Professor Ezequiel Barrios. A school that has adult choirs on different islands, children's choirs, a regional gospel summit and expanding in 2022 to Andalusia.

The 20 choristers performed modern gospel songs such as Revelations and traditional gospel songs such as Precious Memories, the concert also featured the mastery of Professor Pablo Díaz accompanying each of the songs with the piano. Choristers, pianist and director infected the public with each of their performances with a constantly moving staging to which the public also joined in making choruses and clapping, being part of the show and standing up asked them to continue enlivening the evening.

The mayoress of the Teguise City Council, Olivia Duque, and the councillor for Culture and Festivals, Francisco Javier Díaz, congratulated the two participating groups for the magnificent performance carried out.
