The streets of the center of Arrecife were filled with theater this weekend. After a comedian's cart toured Calle Real announcing the performance, the Plazuela was filled with public to see "The Legend of the Burned Island". The Losotroh company performed there this allegorical story about the Biosphere Reserve of Lanzarote.
Dozens of people enjoyed the theater of yesteryear in this commitment of the Cabildo and the City Council that began with the tour of the comedian's cart, simulating the old theater, and continued with a large group of public attentive to the interpretation of the actors on the open-air stage.
The function, commissioned to Salvador Leal and produced by the Losotroh theater company, is an allegory about the origin of the island and the importance of its conservation for environmental awareness purposes. "An opportunity to make the youngest and oldest aware of the importance of sustainability and care for the Environment," the City Council highlights.
