The Orquesta de Pulso y Púa belonging to the Arrecife City Council presented the new musical repertoire last Thursday afternoon at the Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz, a repertoire that they have been preparing during the present year to later take it to the different stages where they will perform once the course is finished.

The new program presented was a very careful selection with songs such as, La Vida es Bella by Nicola Piovani, Game of Thrones by Ramón Djawadi, María la Portuguesa by Carlos Cano or the famous song by Joaquín Sabina Y nos dieron las diez, among others

The Orquesta de Pulso y Púa is based at the Civic Center where, under the direction of professor Juan Arrocha García, the classes offered by the Music School are taught and the rehearsals of the orchestra itself are developed. The Orchestra began its journey at the beginning of the nineties and since that time the performances have been happening until today. In a first stage, its activity consisted of performing in the city of Arrecife, San Ginés festivities, Book Fair and in different activities organized by the Arrecife City Council, with the passage of time they have performed in radio and television programs also traveling to the islands of Gran Canaria and Tenerife offering in each of the concerts different genres which range from classical, popular and folk music.

Currently the School has thirty students who receive weekly classes in Musical Language and instrument with the aim that in the future they can become part of the Orquesta de Pulso y Púa.

The audience supported the musicians and the director with their applause and at the end the mayor of the Arrecife City Council Eva de Anta and the Councilor for Culture, Jimena Álvarez congratulated them for the magnificent concert carried out.
