The municipality of San Bartolomé is preparing to celebrate Carnival 2025 with a wide and varied program designed for all ages.

This edition is called Pixartolomé, a carnival of animated stories, which makes an original nod and tribute to animated film characters who have captivated several generations with iconic films such as Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles or Cars, among others.

It will take place between February 23 and March 7, and the program will kick off with Children's Afternoons at the Civic Centers, which will take place on February 18, 19 and 20 in Montaña Blanca, Güime and El Islote, respectively, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with the collaboration of PFAE San Bartolomé Dinamiza. These activities, which are completely free, are designed for the little ones to experience the magic of carnival through games and dynamics specially designed for them.

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, invites residents and other municipalities of Lanzarote to participate in "festivities that are always a display of joy and healthy fun without age limit. San Bartolomé offers a varied agenda so that costumes and fantasies fill these days with color."

The Councilor for Festivities and responsible for the organization of this celebration, Estefanía Luzardo, points out that "everyone will have their space and representation, thus showing the talent and ingenuity of the groups and the attending public."

Sunday, February 23 will be the time to enjoy the Presentation of the Groups of the Municipality, among which are recognized groups such as Las Revoltosas and the Guaychara batucada, while on Sunday, March 2, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente Park will be filled with joy with the Children's Morning and the Children's Costume Contest.

The carnival continues on Tuesday, March 4 with the expected Day Carnival, which will fill the streets of San Bartolomé with music and color. From 12:00 noon, the event will begin with a lively parade and musical performances, followed by a day of play library and creative workshops.

The party doesn't end here, as on Thursday, March 6, the Carnival Afternoon will be held in Santa Elena Square in Playa Honda, with performances by children's murgas, an event full of music and a unique atmosphere that will thrill all attendees.

Finally, on Friday, March 7, the carnival will say goodbye in style with the traditional Burial of the Guachinango, where there will be no shortage of musical performances. All this done from an inclusive and adapted perspective.
