The town of La Villa de Teguise started with its best clothes last Wednesday with the proclamation of Carmelina García Barrios, the festival in honor of Our Lady of Carmen.

The festival program has been designed with "the aim of embracing the past and the present", that is, including traditional events such as the envite and ball championships, the Acatife Festival that will take place on Friday, July 14, or the performances of local groups, such as the 'Coral Polifónica de La Villa' or the theatrical group 'Manuela y Esperanza Spínola', reports the City Council.

But, in addition, it has been thought to give coverage to different musical groups in the 'Teguise en Vivo', which will take place this Saturday, July 8 from 12.30 to 18.30 hours. It will also feature 'La Noche del Humor' (The Night of Humor), on June 13 with Kike Pérez and Aaron Gómez in the municipal tent of La Villa at 20.30 hours.

This Wednesday 18 teams met in the first round of the 'envite championship', whose final will be held next week.
