The Arrecife Youth Center hosted this past Tuesday the Third Chat of the Spaces for Change initiative, promoted by the Social Innovation Laboratory of the University of La Laguna, with the support of the Government of the Canary Islands, for listening, reflection and intergenerational dialogue around the construction of a more sustainable Canary archipelago.

Chats for change aims to foster a constructive dialogue between different sectors of society to promote awareness and action around the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Dimensions of the Canary Islands Agenda 2030.

The Councilor for Youth of the Arrecife City Council, Rosmen Quevedo, was in charge of welcoming the participants of this meeting, which was attended by the General Director of Youth of the Canary Islands Executive, Daniel Morales, and which focused on the "Public Governance" Dimension of the Canary Islands Agenda 2030, which revolves around values such as justice, inclusion, citizen participation, transparency and solidarity.

Quevedo congratulated the Social Innovation Laboratory of the University of La Laguna and highlighted the importance of collaboration between public institutions to move towards a more cohesive society.

"Through initiatives like this, new proposals and reflections are developed aimed at finding solutions to challenges that concern us all," he said.
