Teguise celebrated the birth of the Child Jesus in the Church of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe de La Villa, where the Rancho Chico, its Angelitos and the Archangel in the Living Portal performed the religious staging before the presence of many neighbors and visitors who came to witness one of the oldest traditions that are still preserved in the Canary Islands.

After the Archangel announced the birth of the Child Jesus, once the little angels and the shepherds impressed the faithful with their songs and verses of adoration in a great event such as the one narrated since time immemorial, it was the turn of the Rancho de Pascuas. The proud group entered the Church singing the "corrido", the songs that the shepherds perform to announce the birth, to then do the "salto" or "besapié" of the shepherds to Jesus. As is known, it is the only Rancho in the Canary Islands that performs this dance and that also carries it out with a departure from the Church, touring the surroundings of the Plaza de Los Leones to return to the church and continue with its songs of adoration and joy.

During the staging, the Rancho de Pascuas has for years presented its highest distinction to people who have roots and involvement in the celebration of Christmas in Teguise. This year they wanted Norberto de León Luzardo to take a recognition that is very important for the members of the group. As the president of the Rancho, Adrián Villalba, explained during the presentation, "Norberto is another member of the Rancho de Pascuas de Teguise, he is always there when he is asked and collaborates in everything selflessly, just as he does with other associations in the municipality." "Norberto, together with his inseparable camera, has been able to portray the traditions and culture of Teguise like no one else, capturing with his lens moments that will be saved forever," Villalba pointed out during the emotional and excited delivery.

The distinguished, grateful for the recognition that has been made to an altruistic work that he does because he is "in love with the traditions of his land", limited himself to expressing his desire to "be able to continue doing what he has been doing until now, continue with his camera in hand all the years that God gives him to continue immortalizing every moment that has to do with the culture and the tasks of the people of the land, especially in the municipality of Teguise".

Once the distinction was finished, the president of the Rancho de Pascuas de Teguise thanked "the monitoring that has been done of the group's work throughout the year and the effort that each of its members makes to try to ensure that the traditions of our ancestors continue to penetrate and permeate the generations to come".
