The Teguise Music Band Teguiband pleasantly surprised the large audience that completely filled the capacity of the Santo Convento de Teguise on Thursday night with the concert The Show Must Go On, a tribute to the great musicals in history, managing to transport the audience to the famous stages of Broadway and cinema.
Led by Professor Ayoze Rodríguez, the more than 30 musicians, men and women, more than achieved the set objective by masterfully interpreting iconic pieces such as West Side Story, with its vibrant rhythms and passionate melodies; Cabaret, evoking the essence of the Berlin theater; The Lion King, which made the audience vibrate with its powerful emotionality; Jesus Christ Superstar, with its unmistakable rock intensity.
One of the most outstanding moments of the concert occurred with the interpretation of The Greatest Showman, the successful musical film that celebrates the magic of the show and the struggle for dreams. Teguiband managed to capture the essence of this production with an energetic and exciting interpretation of its most emblematic themes, such as The Greatest Show and This Is Me. The public, surrendered to the power of the music and the emotion of each note, did not hesitate to accompany this vibrant piece with their applause and ovations.
Each interpretation was full of nuances and energy, managing to capture the essence of each work and move the audience with its dynamic and enveloping arrangements. The concert itself became a sonic and unforgettable journey, where the interpretative quality and professional dedication of the members of Teguiband shone with their own light, managing to leave a lasting mark on the attending public.
With The Show Must Gon On, Teguiband under the direction of Professor Ayoze Rodríguez, reaffirmed its talent and commitment to music and culture, offering a magical night that celebrated the greatness of musicals and the power of live music.
The concert ended with an encore at the request of the public, a tribute to the British group Supertramp. The Councilor for Culture of the Teguise City Council, Francisco Javier Díaz, at the end shared a few minutes with the band's director and members, congratulating them on the magnificent concert.
