The town of Tahíche is celebrating the festivities in honor of Santiago Apóstol and Santa Ana. During the night of last Saturday in the tent installed on the court of the Santiago El Mayor Association, the Gala for the election of the Romera Mayor of Tahíche 2025 was held, directed and coordinated by Sergio Niz and the advice in hairdressing and makeup by Yesica and Yeray Martín, in the section of traditional clothing.
The contest included the participation of seven young female candidates residing in Tahíche, who were at all times very supported by their families, friends, and neighbors who did not stop applauding them throughout the gala.
In the first non-scoring pass, the candidates wore a peasant dress corresponding to the 19th and 20th centuries, making a parade that began on the stage extending to the interior of the tent.
For the second pass scored by the jury, formed by five women representing different folk groups, the seven candidates paraded in peasant dress with mantilla from the 19th and 20th centuries (Sunday Woman).
During the jury's deliberation time, the public enjoyed the music of the group Son de Mar, who came from the municipality of Yaiza, performing a varied repertoire of very lively songs with the complicity of the public.

F. Guagime, Virginia Viña Curbelo - El Morro Neighborhood, Yumalai Barrientos Corujo - Santa Ana Senior Citizens Association.
The contest came to an end with the reading of the jury's decision, which was as follows: 2nd Lady of Honor, Yumalai Barrientos Corujo, to whom Laura Pérez, secretary of the jury, put the sash. 1st Lady of Honor Cristina María Nuez Alayón was given the sash by Yanire González, representative of the Neighborhood Association.
The title of Romera Mayor of Tahíche 2025 went to Saray Abreut Pérez, who was given the sash by Miriam Jorge, councilor of the Teguise City Council, and Aisa Delgado Duque, Romera Mayor 2024, who gave her the traditional Symbol Staff that represents her position.
With the protocol photos and congratulations, the final touch was put to the Gala Election of the Romera Mayor of Tahíche 2025.
