The 'Canarias Manga Festival' kicked off spectacularly this Friday in the Parque Islas Canarias with the participation of hundreds of young people in the numerous activities that this event organized by Zukoabega Producciones in collaboration with the Arrecife City Council, through the Departments of Festivities and Youth, and the Cabildo de Lanzarote through SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote, will continue to offer throughout the weekend.
With multiple stages and around fifty stands, the first day of this festival, a compendium of the culture that has emerged around the characters of Japanese comics -'mangas'- and 'anime', another artistic expression of the Japanese country related to cartoons and the audiovisual industry, took place between video game competitions in the 'gaming zone', 'hama' workshops and initiation to 'magic' and 'Pokemon TCG', and music that ranged from 'random play' to the 'Elesky' concert and the DJ session of 'Pedro K-Pop'.
"We have brought to Arrecife for the first time a unique event, aimed especially at young people and to enjoy with the family, and which reflects the cultural opening and the transition towards modernity in which our city is immersed," said the Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Festivities of Arrecife, Echedey Eugenio, during the tour he made on Friday night through the colorful stands and different stages located in the Parque Islas Canarias, accompanied by the Councillor for Youth of the capital of Lanzarote, Rosmen Quevedo.
