After more than ten years since they performed for the first and only time in Lanzarote, in July 2004, Marlango returns to the island to present live the songs from their new album, 'El Porvenir'. The appointment will be next Friday, January 23, at 9:00 p.m. at the Insular Theater.
In these ten years of history, the duo formed by the actress and singer Leonor Watling and the trumpeter Alejandro Pelayo has treasured one of the most outstanding musical trajectories of pop-rock made in Spain, both in English –language in which they sang in their first albums– as in Spanish, with which they started in their previous work, 'Un día extraordinario' (2012), and with which they continue in 'El Porvenir'. A total of six albums mark the discography of this group that took its name from a song by Tom Waits.
In 'El Porvenir', Marlango has decided to take a step further in its trajectory and signs what many consider its best album. This is an album recorded in Los Ángeles by the producer Sebastian Krys and in which they have renowned collaborations, such as those of Fito Páez, Bumbury or La Santa Cecilia, the group that won the Grammy Award for Best Latin Rock Album in 2014.
The first of the singles included in 'El Porvenir' is 'Dinero', which Marlango signs jointly with the former member of Héroes del Silencio. A theme that already gives clues as to where the entire album is going, with a greater presence of Latin sounds that is accentuated by the use of Spanish and that will surely sound in his concert in Lanzarote along with many of his hits.
Tickets for this concert are already on sale and cost 15 euros. They can be purchased at the Education and Culture Area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote (Cabildo headquarters, Avda. Fred Olsen s/n, Arrecife) from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. They can also be reserved by writing an email to [email protected] or by calling 928 810 100 (ext. 2456). Likewise, they can be purchased at the Theater box office from one hour before the start of the performance, although only if they have not previously sold out.
