The César Manrique Foundation (FCM) will hold this Friday, June 14, in the José Saramago room of La Plazuela in Arrecife, the round table entitled "Projects with César. That's how we worked", in which several technical collaborators with whom the artist shared various projects throughout his life will participate.
Thus, around the round table, which will begin at 7:00 p.m., Juan Alfredo Amigó (engineer), José Luis Olcina (engineer) and Esteban Armas (surveyor) will meet. This activity, which is part of the centenary of the birth of César Manrique that the institution that bears his name will celebrate until April 24, 2020, will be moderated by the director of La Voz de Lanzarote, Isabel Lusarreta, and also by journalist Jaime Puig.
The speakers participating in the round table will focus primarily on sharing their work experiences alongside César Manrique in the public works he developed. Thus, according to the FCM, they will discuss aspects such as the genesis of intervention ideas, the relationship the artist maintained with the project, the work dynamics with the teams that executed the commissions, the materials used, the role played by Manrique on site, contacts with administrations, or the value he gave to vegetation and local elements.
This round table opens the cycle 'César Manrique. Shared Memory' in which, throughout the year, three other tables are planned in which other facets related to the artistic production, commitment and personality of César Manrique will be addressed from complementary perspectives.
