'Made from Rofe' goes on sale, an art book with more than 15 local artists

The creative production company ROFE, under the direction of Ubay T. Alemán, has been in charge of this audiovisual project of more than a year that has culminated in this limited edition.

This Wednesday, January 3, Made From Rofe was officially presented. An art book that features more than 15 local artists involved. The creative production company ROFE, under the direction of Ubay T. Alemán, has been in charge of this audiovisual project of more than a year that has culminated in this limited edition.

A totally self-financed project with a clear intention: to generate a professional project that gives visibility and space to otherness, emerging talent and local talent. The protagonists of this edition are José Caraballo, Gonzalo Naranjo, Álvaro Guzman, Dario Machín, Andrea Febles and Alexander Rodriguez, who have created a visual work with a clear theme: the rofe.

"Understanding the Rofe as a primordial element of territorial foundation, but diversifying its meanings towards the personal connection of each one, with total freedom in the positions that are considered, moving away from the idea of contemplative landscape and turning it into an active entity for creation; being part of it." Ubay Alemán

A creative space where artists of different genres and styles were able to express themselves and develop, representing from styling, through artistic direction, to floral composition. With a team organized from the production company, under the baton of the logistics director Yurena Martín, it has been coordinated for more than 6 months of development to give rise to local brands and neighboring emerging talents. Supported at all times by the audiovisual team Daniel Cabecera and Daniel Martinez. Added to this are the designs of the also involved conejeras brands: Angel Cabrera, Ayrs Handmade, Maison Betancourt or the jewels of Siliza.

"Artistic dynamics are complex, and even more so, if it is in peripheral territories with a focus on tourism. Given the lack of sustainable processes of good practices in the territory and, therefore, the lack of awareness of its importance, we decided to emphasize this process, not only betting on emergence, locality and otherness, but giving space to error accompanying the protagonists throughout the process, recovering the talent that has fled our island, disengaging from the public and political sector, and promoting the community and the valorization of the common".

 

Omar Wade, Achamán Alemán, Miriam Martín, Moneiba, Nafy, Amiga Miri, were the models of these sessions. The result, which has been a first professional work for many of the members, is the result of the mixture of talent, sensitivity, beauty and minimalism woven with the layout and design of the Conejera designer Julia Ferreira. With her, a team is formed that works day by day for what they have called #consumoartísticorepsonsable. A social movement that invites reflection on artistic and cultural dynamics. Making a call to support local talent, to the valorization of our own, to the emerging and to the others.

A sample of quality and revolution that can already be purchased in physical format until stocks run out by demand from their social networks (@roferofecom on Instagram) or on their website www.rofe.es . In addition, part of the final content, as well as the development, will be published free for anyone who wants to support the proposal.
