The residents of the town of Tahíche are fully celebrating the festivities in honor of Santiago Apóstol and Santa Ana, and without a doubt one of the events in which the public is involved and attend en masse is the Playback of Las Rebeldes.
This group is about to celebrate 30 years since its formation and every year continues to surprise with its show, taking great care of the staging of the participants with costumes, choreography and humor sketches, all under the artistic direction of Sergio Níz who takes care of even the smallest detail.
This year the show was dedicated to the island of La Palma, part of the artistic cast put on stage a passage of everything experienced by the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano. From that moment and for almost two hours, guided by the presenter Demelza Viña, solo singers, duets, groups and comedians began to parade uninterruptedly, giving the best of themselves. Everyone easily managed to entertain the large audience that completely filled the capacity of the tent installed on the sports field of the Santiago El Mayor Sociocultural Center. A dedicated public that embraced the artists with their applause and with a smile that they showed from ear to ear with some of the interventions carried out on stage and that did not go unnoticed.
The end of the party this year was dedicated to the San Ginés festivities, recreating some of the attractions that can be seen at the fairgrounds, such as bumper cars, raffles, roulette wheels and candy stands. All this set with the verbenera music typical of a summer festival like San Ginés. One more year, the entire team that gives life to the Las Rebeldes de Tahiche collective won the affection of those who came to see them.
