The Cabildo of Lanzarote has promoted several actions to support local commerce on the island. Thus, and in collaboration with the Interinsular Federation of SMEs (Felapyme), different activities have been organized within the framework of the Father's Day campaign to encourage shopping and boost commercial activity.
The Councilor for Commerce, Aroa Revelo, explains that "the objective is to promote sales on a day as special as March 19 and support the sector again, publicizing and promoting the different open commercial areas of the municipalities of Arrecife, Teguise and Tinajo."
Revelo adds that "we have organized different activities to enjoy as a family during the weekend prior to the Father's Day holiday. Thus, on Saturday, March 16, there will be activities in Arrecife and Costa Teguise, while on Sunday, March 17, the activities will arrive in Tinajo and Villa de Teguise."
Specifically, the commercial area of Arrecife will have various musical performances and children's workshops, under the slogan 'Arrecife Super Dad! Your Father's Day with local commerce', which will take place in La Plazuela and in the streets Real, Hermanos Zerolo and Fajardo, next Saturday, starting at 11:00 in the morning.
That same day, the commercial area of Costa Teguise, specifically the Pueblo Marinero, will also celebrate Father's Day, starting at 11:00 in the morning, with several children's workshops so that the children can surprise one of the most special people in their lives and with a very special parade.
The day on Sunday will continue with children's workshops and parades in the Agricultural Market of Mancha Blanca, in the municipality of Tinajo, and in the Plaza Maciot de Bethencourt, in the Villa de Teguise, starting at 11:00 in the morning.
