The Arrecife City Council organized an extensive program of activities and musical performances to commemorate Canary Islands Day, which "have been very successful in terms of participation," reports the City Council.
Among them, the concert last Tuesday, May 29, by the folk group "Ende cuando no salimos", which, with an "impeccable" performance, filled the José Ramírez Cerdá park with the thousands of people who came there to enjoy the music of the most recognized folk group in the Archipelago.
The performance of Los Sabandeños, who make up an important symbol of Canarian culture, "was a success within the Arrecife Vive Canarias program." Attendees were also able to enjoy the performances of the "Contrastes" and "Sondemar" parrandas last night.
Ástrid Pérez wanted to congratulate all Canarians on this day, "a celebration that fills me with pride to continue building a bright future for Arrecife, for Lanzarote and for all Canarians. Let's enjoy the party together. Happy Canary Islands Day."
