'Delirio' wins the III contest "Canarias Escribe Teatro"

The writer Carla Pérez, a native of the town of Tahíche, achieved unanimous recognition from the jury for her work in which she chooses the figure of the scientist Marie Curie as the protagonist.

The Cabildo of Lanzarote has received the winner of the III contest "Canarias Escribe Teatro", Carla Pérez Brito, a native of the town of Tahíche.

Her work, 'Delirio', was worthy of unanimous recognition from the jury in the new voices category for "its interest and didactic potential, and the sensitivity with which the figure of a female scientist is chosen as the protagonist, Marie Curie.”

"It is a work with well-drawn characters, a clear structure and a use of simultaneous space at the service of poetry. In addition, it has well-combined theatrical elements that do justice to the memory of Marie Curie", they point out from the Cabildo.

The winner, a graduate in Physiotherapy and currently studying dramatic art, was received by the vice president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Marcos Bergaz, who underlined "the talent, preparation and enthusiasm of Carla, synonymous with the extraordinary future that awaits her, on behalf of the entire Corporation our applause and congratulations."

Carla Pérez for her part wanted to thank the award and reception by the Cabildo because "in addition to the recognition, it helps to continue cultivating my passion for writing and theater."
