7:00 p.m. is the time marked by carnival-goers and masquerades in general to start fully enjoying what is coming in terms of laughter, dances, and revelry everywhere during the next few days in Arrecife. Because, at that time, the announcing parade of the Carnival will depart from the Muelle Chico in Puerto Naos, "one of the most awaited celebrations by our city," as highlighted by the deputy mayor and councilor of Festivals, Echedey Eugenio.
A parade led by the Villa Pipol batucada that will culminate in the old Agramar cannery - the epicenter of the Carnestolendas of the Lanzarote capital, next to Avenida de Puerto Naos - and that will give way to the reading of the proclamation by the carnival groups, "the soul of these festivals that today will offer us a historic moment," highlights Echedey Eugenio, announcing for the first time jointly a Carnival that will allegorically transform Arrecife into a 'Fantasy World' in these days.
Precisely, representatives of the municipal government group culminated yesterday Thursday their round of visits to the rehearsal places of these Carnival groups, including the emblematic Parranda Marinera de Los Buches, which tomorrow Saturday will take all the prominence in the Traditional Carnival that will run from 10:30 a.m. from the Muelle de la Pescadería to Calle Real with a prominent presence of sheets and masquerades.
