The Arrecife City Council has planned that every tourist who visits the island, both those arriving on cruises, and the thousands who stay in tourist establishments, can better plan their stay in Lanzarote and learn in detail about the many attractions that exist in the capital of Lanzarote.
Through QR codes, visitors who arrive on the island can directly access this guide where a narrator details, in several languages, the entire history of the capital, its tourist attractions, its commercial and leisure offer, and the places destined for culture. The entire guide, promoted by the Department of Tourism, directed by Councilor Eli Merino, covers Arrecife, including the offer of the neighborhoods in addition to its downtown and marina area.
Now, this Easter, where the tourist influx is high, Arrecife Tourism focuses on the dissemination of this audio guide, and its downloads from mobile devices. Along with the distribution of information in the receptions of tourist establishments, taxis, and rental vehicles, the city council has created a promotional video with the attractions of Arrecife. A video to be disseminated on networks and in digital media.
This year, the city commemorates the 225th anniversary of the founding of the municipality of Arrecife and the Corporation chaired by Mayor Yonathan de León wanted to provide this new promotional tool with the use of new technologies. The Arrecife City Council, through the Department of Commerce, Tourism and Sports, directed by Councilor Eli Merino, is developing various actions so that visitors can access all the tourist information offered by the capital of Lanzarote.
The mayor and the councilor announced these new tools at the end of last January at Fitur, in a meeting with the tourism agents who attended the tourism fair. This guide offers practical uses to access all the proposals offered by the capital of Lanzarote for visitors. The guide offers detailed information, accompanied by videos, in Spanish, English and German. The tool will allow, in future updates, to be offered in other additional languages.
De León has remarked that "this Easter many visitors have the ideal opportunity to learn more about, and with this audio guide, the city that has the pride of being the birthplace of César Manrique, the architect of Lanzarote as a destination linked to nature and ecology, the same capital that has one of the most beautiful marinas in the Canary Islands, with the special charm of the Charco de San Ginés, and the entire capital coastline surrounded by a large promenade overlooking the castles of San José and San Gabriel. "Few capitals of the Canary Islands have so many attractions on their seafront," says the city's mayor with pride.
The Arrecife City Council, from Turismo Arrecife, has highlighted the councilor Eli Merino, "we offer this innovative tourist guide (through the following link) so that tourists can get to know the entire capital more closely. A narrator describes, in several languages, the entire history of the capital, its tourist attractions, its commercial and leisure offer, and the places destined for culture.
