The judge of Court Number 1 of Arrecife has condemned the English tourist who injured three agents when he was arrested last weekend in Puerto del Carmen for crimes of injuries, damages and resistance to authority. After being brought to justice, the arrested person has faced a quick trial in which he has acknowledged the facts, thus dictating a sentence of conformity.
The ruling imposes on this 33-year-old tourist several fines, as well as the payment of different compensations, one of them of 1,500 euros for the damages he caused to the street furniture. According to sources from the Civil Guard to La Voz, the detainee also broke a glass of the police vehicle, as well as the door of the cell to which he was taken after his arrest.
The events began in the early hours of Saturday to Sunday in a bar in Puerto del Carmen, where this young man was "seriously disturbing public order". Then, when the agents arrived, he resisted arrest and caused minor injuries to two local police officers and a civil guard, as well as material damage.
