The Second Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas will judge next Tuesday, November 21, J.S.C.A., a man accused of sexually abusing his minor stepsister in Arrecife.
According to the provisional conclusions of the Public Prosecutor's Office, J.S.C.A. lived with his mother, her husband and his stepsister in the capital of Lanzarote. At that time, the minor was only 12 years old, while the accused was already of legal age.
The Prosecutor's Office points out that, from January 2016 to July 2017, the accused allegedly sexually abused the minor, penetrating her vaginally and weekly in the accused's bedroom during that time.
For the narrated events, the Public Ministry has requested twelve years in prison for an alleged crime of sexual abuse of a minor, with the accessory of absolute disqualification during the time of the sentence, as well as supervised release for ten years after leaving prison, as well as the prohibition of approaching and communicating with the victim. In addition, the obligation to undergo sexual education programs.
Thus, it has also requested the prohibition of approaching the victim within 500 meters, of her home, workplaces or any other frequented by her, as well as not communicating with her by any means for 20 years.
To conclude, the Prosecutor's Office adds the payment to the victim of compensation amounting to 3,000 euros for the moral damages caused.
