The Arrecife City Council has put out to tender the acquisition of another two 100% electric buses for regular passenger transport, which will join the three that the City Council announced at the end of 2021.

"We are thus improving our fleet of municipal buses, another aid to promote the use of public transport in the capital, undoubtedly one of the commitments I made since I became mayor of the municipality," says Astrid Pérez.

The two buses that the Arrecife City Council will acquire soon will be 8.5 meters long, which will allow the vehicles to enter the capital's neighborhoods, and will have a capacity of 45 people. They will be fully low-floor, with no access step, which will allow access to people with reduced mobility, who will have a reserved place.

The maximum amount included in the contract, published on October 10 on the State Procurement Platform, amounts to a total of 884,000 euros. Interested companies have until November 14 at 2:00 p.m. to submit offers.

The Mobility Councilor, Ángela Hernández, for her part, positively values the acquisition of these two 100% electric buses, "after suffering the fire of two vehicles last February."
