The elderly of Teguise continue to exercise their minds through the Active Aging Plan, which, given the health circumstances, is developed through new technologies.

More than 200 people in the municipality receive daily challenges through WhatsApp that they have to meet within the Saravá Neurorehabilitation program, designed by professionals that allows them to train and keep their mental abilities up to date.

The Councilor for Senior Citizen Care, Nori Machín, appreciates the involvement of all the experts in the field, as well as the participants, and points out that "it is very important to keep the mind active in times of pandemic to curb the cognitive repercussions that the decline in group activities may have."

Likewise, the councilor has announced that "the intention of the Teguise Government group is to resume these Active Aging plans in person, as soon as health conditions allow and with all security measures, because it is very important for our elders to socialize with each other."

Nori Machín reminds all those seniors who want to participate that they can contact the department on the phone 928 845 926.
