Yaiza favors the practices of the students of Emergency Coordination of the CIFP Zonzamas

The young people of higher grade participate in the formative and service dynamics of Civil Protection

For the third consecutive year, second-year students of higher grade of Coordination and Emergencies and Civil Protection of the Integrated Center of Professional Training (CIFP) Zonzamas have joined the formative and service dynamics of the Yaiza Civil Protection Group, carrying out 346 hours of practices corresponding to the module called Training in Work Centers, a fact that CIFP Zonzamas values very positively through the teacher and tutor, Fernando Pablos Espeso, emphasizing that "the collaboration of the City Council, Civil Protection Yaiza, the mayor, Óscar Noda, and the Councilor for Citizen Security, Javier Camacho, who facilitate that students of the municipality can carry out their practices near the place where they reside".

Among the functions performed by the students, "assistance to preventive services, transfer of information on safety and emergencies to children of educational centers in the municipality, updating of the inventory of means and resources of the southern Group and training courses with the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote, among others", informs the City Council. 

The students of Zonzamas participated last April, together with Civil Protection volunteers and agents of the Local Police, in a theoretical - practical training in aquatic rescue deploying all the current municipal resources, including the drone unit of the Local Police, where the coordination work between the different security and emergency bodies was also established.

Óscar Noda confirms the institutional commitment to "continue contributing to the training of young people from Yaiza and Lanzarote and improve the endowment of resources of Civil Protection Yaiza, whose volunteer work is commendable and we are honored and proud of it".

CIFP Zonzamas also publicly thanks "Pedro Manuel García Rodríguez, coordinator of Civil Protection Yaiza, who as tutor of the collaborating entity, has facilitated the development of the training activity". We highlight his "good predisposition and concern to include students in all activities carried out, including their entry as volunteers". The coordinator shares the merit with "all the volunteers who have helped and provided all their collaboration to the boys and girls in practice of CIFP Zonzamas".
