Maitre Course at Akacenter

Akacenter, vocational training center with the highest employability in the Canary Islands, announces the arrival of a new Vocational Training for Employment course, accredited to train future head waiters or maitres. This training program has the main objective of defining and supervising the food and beverage service in category establishments, as well as preparing culinary preparations in front of the diner, always ensuring quality and safety in the service.

The course is designed to provide comprehensive training in the management and complete supervision of the dining room and the human team, as well as level customer service, setting the appropriate protocol. It also includes a professional English module to ensure proper communication with the international client and another for service, recommendation and wine pairing.

The program will be taught in a professional workshop with specialized teachers and includes internships in companies, which maximizes the employability of the participants. Professional opportunities include positions such as dining room managers, maitres d'hotel, bar managers and banquet managers, among other positions of responsibility in the hospitality sector, which considerably improves the working conditions of more basic positions.

In the words of Juan Pablo Cabrera, manager of Akacenter, this course represents a "high value opportunity in Lanzarote and the changes that are taking place in the hospitality sector, which is moving towards a model of excellence aimed at increasingly exclusive clients". He also points out that "this course is so specific that it is not offered every year" so he invites all unemployed people to take advantage of the opportunity.

With this new training offer, which is subsidized by the Canarian Employment Service and the SEPE, Akacenter reaffirms its commitment to quality education and labor insertion in the restaurant sector, which continues to offer so many opportunities in Lanzarote. Places for employed people have already been filled and there are only quotas left for unemployed people, who can register at this link or by visiting the Akacenter center in the Valterra neighborhood located at Calle Extremadura number 5.
