Yolanda Perdomo from Lanzarote joins IFEMA to internationalize the Madrid brand

Perdomo will coordinate the "Madrid Turismo by IFEMA" project, which, with a budget of 38.4 million euros, aims to strengthen the Madrid brand internationally.

Yolanda Perdomo from Lanzarote, who has more than twenty years of professional experience in the tourism sector at an international level, will coordinate the project 'Madrid Turismo by IFEMA', an initiative that arises from the collaboration agreement signed by the Community of Madrid, the Madrid City Council and the fair institution with the aim of strengthening the Madrid brand internationally. The project also aims to improve the efficiency of campaigns abroad, planning tourism promotion and marketing activities.

This project, which has a budget of 38.4 million euros for the period 2022-2024, will receive the boost of IFEMA MADRID's "demonstrated management capacity", while being enriched by the constant advice and collaboration of the private sector.

Yolanda Perdomo, who is an expert in destination management, product development, tourism marketing, tourism intelligence and governance models in public-private collaboration, has held management positions and senior positions in both the public and private sectors.

The new coordinator of the 'Madrid Turismo by IFEMA' project has been Director of Affiliate Members of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Government of the Canary Islands, and Managing Director of Tourism of the Canary Islands, the promotional entity of the archipelago. She has also acted as an international advisor and consultant for the industry in thirty countries on four continents, working with actors of all kinds (United Nations agencies, government bodies, the private sector, SMEs, NGOs, communities and the academic field).

Perdomo holds a degree in International Economics from the American University of Paris and a diploma in Tourism with a specialty in Hotel Administration from the ULPGC, having completed her training with the Official Master's Degree in Management and Global Marketing Management and New Markets from the Camilo José Cela University, and the Executive Program in Tourism from IESE. She speaks English, French and Italian.
