The Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of Lanzarote have announced news and changes regarding the procedure for visits to the most important places on the island. In a recent interview on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero, the CEO of the Centers, Ángel Vázquez, highlighted the adaptation plan that will be carried out to change some of the tourist development points.
As a measure to organize and promote "higher quality" tourism, Vázquez anticipates that there will be "modifications in schedules, with more sections." Tourists will have the opportunity to choose the time slot in which they want to visit places such as 'La Cueva de los Verdes' or 'Montañas de Fuego', after the large queues that have formed in some of the Lanzarote destinations during this summer.
It is necessary to make a "control of the tickets" that are offered to tourists, so that they can enjoy their experience in Lanzarote with "a higher quality of the visit" and "without crowds", highlights the counselor.

Precisely in the Cueva de los Verdes, "we will establish groups of fifty people" to be able to enter and each group will have "fifteen minutes", in which customers can arrive "ten minutes before and enter directly", in order to avoid the accumulation of people. Visitors "will have until five in the afternoon" to be able to access comfortably.
Price increase for more tourist quality
Another point raised by the counselor is "raising the price" of tourist experiences. A way to "increase the quality" for visitors and also to benefit the Lanzarote society so that they "can live much better", he adds.
"It is important that tourists come with more money to leave it in the destination", says Vázquez. "We are concerned about tourism not only in summer, since we know that it is remarkable all year round", therefore, they are considering these measures.
