In February, a total of 58,950 cruise passengers arrived at the port of Arrecife, almost double the number who arrived in the same month last year when there were 30,419, according to the Lanzarote Data Center with figures from the port authority.
In addition, it is an almost identical number to that recorded in February 2019, when 59,089 cruise passengers arrived. This consolidates the trend already started in January of this year with which the arrivals are now practically equal to those that were recorded before the pandemic.
In January, a total of 63,337 cruise passengers arrived at the port of Arrecife, while in January 2019 there had been 64,078 people.
The change is significant compared to 2022, the year in which the port of Arrecife received 448,124 cruise passengers, a 37.5% less than arrived in 2019.
Also the number of goods that arrived at the port of the capital, a total of 128,139 tons is very close to the amount unloaded in February 2019, when there were 129,167 tons.
