The Hotel Coronas Playa in Costa Teguise will remain closed for 10 months due to the works being carried out in order to remodel the resort.
After the reopening, which is scheduled for November 2022, and the opening of another hotel in Yaiza, Mynd Yaiza, by the end of the year, Canarian Hospitality will have two hotels in Lanzarote, according to Europa Press.
The rehabilitation of Costa Teguise is valued at more than 10 million euros. The hotel will consist of 6 floors, with a 4-star superior category and will have 229 rooms, 4 swimming pools, a buffet and an à la carte restaurant, a beach club, lobby bar, pool bar, theater, spa and gym. Its financing is carried out by RIC Private Equity, the first collective investment entity of the Investment Reserve in the Canary Islands.
"This is a rehabilitation that allows improving the accommodation quality of the Canary Islands without resorting to a new building, which will help not only to improve the aesthetics of the building and the quality of services, but also to attract a type of tourist with greater purchasing power without having to occupy more space", explains Óscar Palacios, Director of Expansion and Institutional Relations of Canarian Hospitality.
