The Cabildo of Lanzarote presented 22 establishments and tourist services of the island with more than fifty recognitions of the distinctive 'Commitment to Tourist Quality'. Through the Lanzarote Foreign Promotion Society (SPEL), the highest island body awarded the awards of the Spanish Tourist Quality System in Destinations (SICTED).
The president and tourism councilor of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, congratulated the awarded entities and highlighted "the work of the businessmen and their work on the island, something that is recognized with these awards, in the constant improvement of our services".
The event took place this Thursday in the Plenary Hall of the Cabildo, together with Corujo, the general director of Planning and Tourism Promotion of the Ministry of Tourism of the Government of the Canary Islands, Criprián Rivas Fernández, and the CEO of Tourism Lanzarote, Héctor Fernández Manchado.
Currently, Lanzarote has 123 tourist destinations attached, of which 82 have been distinguished with the brand 'Commitment to Tourist Quality' SICTED.
The 53 certifications of recognition of the brand have been given to the following establishments and tourist services:
- Aloe Plus Lanzarote (In its stores in Arrecife, Arrieta, Haría, Playa Blanca, Puerto del Carmen II, Airport and Yaiza).
- Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism of Lanzarote (13 certifications).
- CICAR, Autos Cabrera Medina and Payless.
- El Caletón del Golfo (Rural Accommodation in El Golfo).
- Official Tourism Guides (Ana Luisa Sánchez León, Cristina Cano, Edén Sánchez, Eva Acero Pegito, María Carmen Polo Sardina, María Onelia Álvarez Alberto and Nieves Pérez Alcaide).
- H10 Timanfaya Palace (Playa Blanca).
- Hotel Beatriz Playa & Spa (Puerto del Carmen).
- Hotel Beatriz Costa & Spa (Costa Teguise).
- Hotel Grand Teguise Playa (Costa Teguise).
- Hotel Meliá Salinas (Costa Teguise).
- Labranda Alyssa Suite Hotel, Labranda El Dorado, Labranda Los Cocoteros and Labranda Playa Club (LABRANDA Hotels & Resorts).
- La Isla y el Mar, Hotel Boutique (Puerto del Carmen).

This year 2023, three tourist services have received the distinction for the first time (Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park, Villas Alondra and the Local Police of Teguise) and the rest, 50 tourist services, renew the quality seal.
