Used housing in the Canary Islands rises almost 5% in the first quarter

The increases have been greater in the Balearic Islands, Madrid, Murcia, Andalusia and the Valencian Community, but prices have also fallen in three autonomous communities

Canary Islands in the first quarter of 2025 with an increase of 4.8% in the price of second-hand housing and an interannual increase of 11.9%, according to data from the Fotocasa Real Estate Index.

Thus, the price of used housing currently costs an average of 2,869 euros per square meter in the Canary Islands.

By autonomous communities, the largest quarterly increase is in the Balearic Islands with 8.1%, followed by Madrid (6.3%), the Region of Murcia (6.3%), Andalusia (5.5%), the Valencian Community (5.0%) and the Canary Islands (4.8%).

Next, Asturias (4.1%), the Basque Country (3.6%), Castilla y León (3.4%), Catalonia (3.4%), Cantabria (3.1%), Galicia (1.2%), Aragon (0.9%) and La Rioja (0.3%).

On the other hand, the quarterly decreases correspond to the communities of Navarra (-3.1%), Castilla-La Mancha (-2.5%) and Extremadura (-0.9%).

Regarding the price classification by communities, the Balearic Islands and Madrid occupy the first places, and exceed the barrier of 3,000 euros per square meter, specifically 4,970 euros are paid in the Balearic Islands, followed by Madrid with 4,550 and the Basque Country with 3,404 euros.

They are followed by the communities of Catalonia with 2,918 euros, the Canary Islands with 2,869, Andalusia with 2,358, the Valencian Community with 2,212, Cantabria with 2,129, Navarra with 2,057, Galicia with 1,915, Asturias with 1,880, Aragon with 1,750, La Rioja with 1,673, Castilla y León with 1,590, the Region of Murcia with 1,579, Extremadura with 1,227 and Castilla-La Mancha with 1,203.
