Prices for buying housing in Yaiza have grown by 19.4% in the last twelve months, more than in any other municipality on the island, according to the Idealista.com price index.
At the end of September, the square meter in the south was at 3,324 euros, while in Arrecife, where the most economical properties in Lanzarote are located, it costs 1,541 euros on average. Prices in the capital have also risen in the last year, but at a slower rate, specifically 8.4%.
After Yaiza, the highest prices are found in Tías, where the square meter is at 2,703 euros. However, prices in this municipality have risen the least in 12 months, by 3%.
The third most expensive municipality on the island is Teguise, where the square meter is at 2,289 euros. Teguise is also, after Tías, the second municipality where prices are increasing the least. In a year, they have risen by 4.5%.
Along with Arrecife, the most affordable apartments could be found until recently in San Bartolomé, although prices in this municipality have grown the most in the last quarter, specifically 9.4%, so the square meter is at 2,074 euros on average.
After Yaiza, the municipality that has experienced the second-highest price growth in the last year (13.7%) has been Haría. In the north, the square meter costs an average of 2,047 euros.
Idealista.com does not present data for Tinajo as it does not have a sufficient number of properties for sale.
