Those who decided to buy a house in the municipalities of Haría, San Bartolomé, Teguise or Yaiza last April, paid less for it than they would have had to pay in March.
This is attested by the figures provided by the Lanzarote Data Center based on the statistics of the real estate portal Idealista.com.
The biggest drop was recorded in Haría where the price per square meter was reduced by 70 euros, from 2,091 euros in March to 2,021 in April.
Secondly, the price per square meter in Yaiza is currently 56 euros cheaper than in March, although it starts from a much higher amount than in the rest of the island. The average price in the south is 3,414 euros
Prices also fell in San Bartolomé and Teguise, although the fall was more moderate. In both municipalities, the price per square meter is now 24 euros less than the previous month. Specifically, the average price is currently 2,003 euros in San Bartolomé and 2,252 euros in Teguise.
However, the cost of housing in Lanzarote as a whole rose, although very moderately, it rose by 5 euros from 2,398 euros to 2,403 euros, and it did so due to the increase recorded in the capital of the island, where the square meter went from 1,718 euros in March to 1,736 euros in April.
