The Repsol Guide has awarded two new Soletes to businesses in Lanzarote in the spring edition: the pastry shop Lamontagne in Arrecife and the restaurant El Barquillo-El Sótano in La Santa. Thus Lanzarote already has 31 establishments on the list.

"Los Soletes are places you would recommend to a friend for their appealing, reliable, and affordable proposal that dress up for celebration without losing their everyday character", points out the organization.

From the Arrecife pastry shop, the Guide says: "Interesting French pastry shop near Reducto beach in Lanzarote led by professional Ludovic Lamontagne. In addition to cakes on order for special occasions, they improvise with different recipes every day".

About the award-winning restaurant in La Santa: "The draw of El Barquillo, popularly known as El Sótano due to its location on the ground floor of a building in the town of La Santa, is the fresh fish just taken from the sea and the famous prawns from this locality (when available)".

Another ten businesses have been recognized across the archipelago: these are the coffee shops Caracolillo (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria), and Orche (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) and the bars Lambada Records (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) and Rinconcito Gomero (Santa Cruz de Tenerife).

Likewise, it was received by the restaurants El Altillo Gastrobar (Breña Baja), Hispano Exquisiteces (Santa Cruz de La Palma), La Tafeña (Valverde), Los Leones (San Sebastián de La Gomera), Otelo (Adeje) and Sinología (Garachico).

In the country as a whole there have been 331 new Soletes for restaurants, bars, coffee shops, wine bars, beach bars or ice cream parlors located near natural parks, in historic centers of cities and municipalities or for spending the night.

Madrid, with 14 new Soletes, is the Spanish city that adds the most establishments, followed by Valencia and Barcelona with 10; Seville, with 8; and Zaragoza and Malaga, with 6, according to the list published by Repsol.

By autonomous communities, Andalusia is the one that has incorporated the most Soletes, with 43, ahead of Catalonia (35); Castile and Leon (34); Galicia (25); Community of Madrid (21) and Valencian Community (21).

In fourteen editions, more than 5,000 establishments have been distinguished with Soletes in Spain. As a novelty, this year four from Andorra have been recognized.
