Teguise and Tías are the municipalities of Las Palmas where used housing increased the most in the last year

Only in two municipalities of the Canary Islands did used housing prices fall in the last twelve months

The price of used housing has experienced an increase of 16.5% in the Canary Islands archipelago during the last year, bringing the price per square meter to 2,958 euros, according to the latest idealista price index.

This data represents a quarterly increase of 3.9% and the highest price in the Canary Islands since idealista has records.

The Canary provinces have had an upward trend in their prices: they grew by 13.1% in the case of Las Palmas, up to 2,703 euros per square meter, and 18.4% in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, up to 3,146 euros.

Both data represent historical price records in the Canary provinces.

The largest increase recorded in the province of Las Palmas is that experienced by Teguise where prices have increased by 25.8% in the last year. It is followed by the increases in Tías (21.9%) and Puerto del Rosario (16.9%).

On the opposite side is the fall of Valsequillo de Gran Canaria (-2.6%), the only one in the province among the municipalities analyzed by idealista. Prices in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria have risen by 7.2% to 2,408 euros.

San Bartolomé de Tirajana reaffirms itself as the most exclusive market in Las Palmas: its 4,385 euros per square meter mark the ceiling, while the cheapest in Las Palmas is Teror and its 1,151 euros.

In the municipalities of the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the largest increases have occurred in Guía de Isora (54.2%) and Icod de los Vinos (40%), while the only decrease has occurred in Santa Úrsula (-1.1%).

In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the price of housing grew by 11.2% in a year to reach 2,175 euros.

The most expensive market in the province is Adeje (4,287 euros) and Icod de los Vinos the most economical (1,411 euros).

The price of used housing in Spain marks an increase of 11.2% during the last 12 months. This increase leaves the square meter at 2,311 euros according to the latest idealista price index.

Looking at the quarterly variation, prices have increased by 1.7%. With this price, Spain reaches a new historical maximum.

All autonomous communities have higher prices than a year ago, except in Extremadura where they fall by 1.9%. Among the capitals, only Huesca reduces its prices.
