Nearly four out of ten (38.7%) of the homes for sale in Lanzarote cost more than half a million euros. This is according to the advertisements analyzed on the real estate portal Idealista, where at the beginning of this 2025, a total of 1,183 houses and apartments are offered for sale on the island.
Lanzarote, like the rest of the country, is experiencing a housing crisis, where the prices per square meter continue to rise. According to data from the aforementioned portal, last December each square meter for sale in Arrecife, the capital of the island, cost an average of 1,944 euros, 21.9% more than in the same month of 2023. In Teguise, it has increased by 15.8% in a year and already reaches 2,668 euros per square meter.
The situation is aggravated in municipalities such as Yaiza, with a price per square meter of 3,568 euros, or Tías, where each meter costs 3,715 euros on average (28.6% higher than a year before).
In the sale advertisements on the island, all properties below 100,000 euros are advertised for investors. As these are properties illegally occupied, they cannot be accessed immediately after purchase, cannot be visited, nor can the condition in which they are found be known.
Above 120,000 euros and up to 140,000 euros, you can find 24 houses and apartments for sale of between 25 and 151 square meters, most of them in Arrecife. However, some of these properties are also occupied and without the possibility of moving in immediately after acquiring them or need renovations.
In addition, about twenty of the homes for sale are less than 40 square meters and above 106,000 euros.
From 140,000 euros and below 200,000 euros, there are 115 houses and apartments for sale in Lanzarote, 9.7% of the total. In this case, these are properties of more than 100 square meters in their majority.
Two out of ten properties for sale (20.2%) are between 200,000 and 300,000 euros. In this case, they are divided into apartments for sale in Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca, among other tourist areas, which measure around 30 and 50 square meters, and duplexes, apartments and houses for sale in the rest of the island above 90.
To conclude, nearly three out of ten homes (27.6%) are for sale above 300,000 and up to 500,000 euros. At this point, we can find houses ranging from 44 square meters to 900 square meters. In addition, two farms stand out in Tinajo and Soo.
