A total of 13 unemployed people, with two more to join, have joined the labor market this Monday thanks to the launch of the project 'Tías, connecting with employment: 2023-2024', of the town hall.
This project, integrated in the 'Social Employment Program 2023-2024' of the Government of the Canary Islands, is co-financed by the 'Comprehensive Employment Plan of the Canary Islands' (PIEC), linked to the State Public Employment Service of the Ministry of Labor. The budget of the project amounts to "315,373.53 euros", the Council has collected.
The mayor, José Juan Cruz, and the first deputy mayor, Nicolás Saavedra, accompanied by other councilors, welcomed the newly hired and explained to them "to which areas they are linked and what functions they should perform" during the hiring period.
These people will perform different tasks in the areas of Social Services, Roads and Works, Parks and Gardens, Education, Culture and Sports. The objective of the project is the execution of municipal works and contribute to the "incentive of employment" helping to improve the professional skills of the contractors.
