The municipality of Yaiza is ready to celebrate the fourteenth edition of the Uga Livestock Show San Isidro Labrador next weekend with "the exhibition of some 400 specimens of the goat, sheep, pig, horse and camel herds of Lanzarote", affirm from the City Council.
In the program, from next Friday, April 21 to Sunday, April 23, which is offered at the fairgrounds, there will be "cheese tasting, traditional milking and cheese making, musical performances and children's workshops, among other proposals", for "family enjoyment, that the people of Lanzarote", they add from the Council.
The Show also fosters "a productive space for dialogue between the farmers of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura who meet again to discuss solutions" with reference to "common problems in the sector", they emphasize. The Primary Sector Area of Yaiza informs that "thirty farmers from Fuerteventura have already confirmed their participation".

Óscar Noda, publicly thanks "the commitment of the farmers of Lanzarote, technicians from the primary sector, cheese factories and municipal workers for this joint work that makes this great meeting possible", he confesses. Which demonstrates "the weight of livestock activity in our economy and the value it represents in a society that is committed to diversification", he clarifies.
It begins next Friday at 5:00 p.m. with "the streaming colloquium 'Livestock in Lanzarote, present and future'", originating from the Camel Interpretation Center, which "includes contributions from Arminda García Pérez, veterinarian; Leandro de León Acuña, farmer; Francisco Mesa Lemes, camel driver; Dalia Reyes Pérez, farmer and Professor Teno Osorio Castañeda", they add.
