The small winegrowers of Lanzarote are very concerned about "the delay" in the wine analysis carried out in the laboratory of the Cabildo of Lanzarote. In a recent interview this Tuesday on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero the manager of 'Lanzarote Natural' Daniel Lasso, has denounced "the malfunction" of the laboratory.

"We left the wine on September 8th and we are still waiting", acknowledges the businessman. "I understand that an analysis may take one or two days, but not ten", points out the manager very annoyed. Reason why they are "forced to publicly denounce that the laboratory of the Cabildo of Lanzarote is not working correctly", he adds.

According to Lasso, "the same thing happens every year, it's always the same". Moreover, he acknowledges that "it has been happening for four or five years and nobody does anything". A situation that makes them take the measure of "sending the wine sample to Tenerife so that they can analyze it", adds the manager. A "plan B" that has to be financed out of his own pocket: "I have to pay for it on my own", in addition to "paying a laboratory of the Cabildo that does not work well", explains Lasso very indignantly.

A situation that complicates the sale of wine taking into account that "after ten days the analysis is no longer valid", he stresses. "The wine sample that is sent today, tomorrow is already different", he makes clear. "The wine is alive and more so when it has just finished fermenting", which means that "to correct any defects, we need the results of the analysis almost immediately".

A complication that they would not want to be experiencing, but that 'Lanzarote Natural' has no choice but to endure, since being a small winery, "we do not have our own winery, nor technology to analyze the wine", points out the man. A panorama in which "the small winegrowers are given a little aside", he says angrily.

As an alternative to solve the problem, he sends a message to the Cabildo of Lanzarote to "put more staff" and the laboratory begins to "work for us", he concludes.
