The managing director of Puertos Canarios, Manuel Ortega, believes that thanks to the expansion of the port of Playa Blanca, works that are being carried out by the Puertos Canarios entity, dependent on the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Housing of the Government of the Canary Islands with the co-financing of 85% of the FEDER Operational Program of the Canary Islands (2014-2020), the flow of passengers and vehicles will increase even more throughout the year.

“The works are scheduled to be completed this summer, which means that traffic in the port, as well as safety and comfort for passengers and vehicles, will increase substantially after the improvement works that have been carried out in the fishing dock and in the new area of the dock with a unique sustainable maritime station in the Canary Islands,” he added.
