The Port of Arrecife has experienced a decrease year-on-year this April of 16.4% of its total traffic compared to the same month last year. There have been 132,403 tons this year, while in April 2022 it amounted to 158,390.
And that is because passenger traffic has increased, in April there were 55,839 people, 22% more than those moved by the port of the capital of Lanzarote in the same month last year.
The decrease in the number of goods has been particularly noticeable both in the unloading of liquid bulk and in that of solids, 40% less in both categories.
In the group of ports of the Port Authority of Las Palmas, total traffic has increased by 5.89%, thanks to the growth in the Port of Salinetas and in particular, in that of the capital of Gran Canaria, which experienced an increase of close to 9%.
In Puerto del Rosario there was a decrease of 10.36%, 99,613 tons; while in Arinaga, with 11,361, the fall was close to 30%.
