The Lanzarote Business Confederation (CEL) highlights the importance of reinforcing the commitment to local companies and entrepreneurs.
In this way, the employers' association asks for the support of public administrations to give more value to the latest report from the Iberinform portal, which reflects that the Canary and Balearic Islands have a higher percentage of local and less internationalized companies.
The president of the CEL, Francisco Martínez, points out that "this data is very positive and should encourage us to promote local consumption, entrepreneurship among the population and facilitate the entry of people into the business world with aid and advice, as well as guarantee the survival and growth of existing companies."
“From the CEL we are committed to the local business fabric and offer advice through our Business Advisory Service (SAE), with the aim of facilitating their procedures and providing the necessary information so that they can carry out their activity in the best conditions,” says the president.
The Canary Islands is the Community with the most local businesses in Spain, with 52% of the total, while at the same time it has the lowest internationalization rate among its companies, with only 2% of the total. In addition, 7% of the companies in the Canary Islands are framed within the national scope.
