The airline Jet2.com has announced more than 430,000 seats offered for Lanzarote this summer, which represents an increase of more than 31,000 seats compared to last summer, almost 8% more.
This increase means that some weeks the British airline will schedule up to 70 weekly flights between the United Kingdom and Lanzarote.
For the Canary Islands as a whole, Jet2 will add more than 126,000 seats. Last year, 2.4 million passengers arrived in the archipelago on Jet2 planes.
Thus, the company calculates the number of potential tourists that can arrive to the archipelago with Jet2.com this summer in more than 1.6 million, an 8% more than in the summer of 2024.
It also premieres two new routes to Lanzarote from Bournemouth and London-Luton, which also inaugurate direct Jet2 flights to Tenerife South, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura.
In Tenerife, the airline will have almost 690,000 arrival seats, a growth of more than 46,000 seats compared to last summer, with a peak of 109 weekly flights.
Meanwhile, for Gran Canaria it has programmed an operation 11% larger than last summer, which means more than 286,000 seats. In Fuerteventura there will be about 230,000 seats.
