Fred Olsen Express inaugurated this Wednesday a new maritime route for the transport of goods with its Bentayga Cargo ship, which will make 6 weekly trips to connect Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; Arrecife and Puerto del Rosario.
Fred Olsen highlighted that the Bentayga, being destined for cargo, "ensures 100% availability of its capacity even on dates of high passenger demand."
For the head of the cargo department of Fred. Olsen Express, Juan Jesús Dionis, “the start of this route is a before and after in the cargo transport of the archipelago, since they have the possibility of transferring their detached cargo units, without the need for tractor heads (chutos) or drivers to make the trip, being able to collect the merchandise directly at the ports of destination by coordinating with us for stowage.”
From Sunday to Friday, the Bentayga Cargo ship now leaves the port of Las Palmas at 21:00 to dock in Arrecife (Lanzarote). Once there, it will depart from Lanzarote at 6:00 bound for Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura), from where it will head to Gran Canaria at 11:00.
