More than 100 establishments have joined the new Consume Lanzarote campaign. The Councilor for Commerce and Consumption of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Aroa Revelo, has described the rate of adhesion of island businesses to the third edition of the Consume Lanzarote campaign as a "real success" in just one week. This campaign involves the distribution of bonuses promoted by the Institution together with the Interinsular Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises of the Canary Islands (Felapyme).
In these few days, more than 100 establishments from all over the island have joined this commercial revitalization initiative. And registrations continue at a good pace, which can continue to be made until August 31, 2024, through the Consume Lanzarote website.
The businesses that are finally part of this campaign, which comes under the slogan Buy twice. Pay half, will benefit from the 9,500 vouchers that will go on sale in a second phase of the campaign from July 22, through the same website.
Each voucher will have a value of 60 euros, of which the customer will only pay half. Each customer may purchase a maximum of 6 Consume Lanzarote cards. In this way, with an expenditure of 180 euros, each beneficiary will be able to spend 360 euros.
Aroa Revelo highlighted the Cabildo's commitment to the "revitalization" of the island's commercial sector, "which generates an important part of the employment of Lanzarote and La Graciosa," she said. In addition, she clarified that this campaign will inject "more than 570,000 euros into the business fabric for two months, almost 25% more than the last edition."
For his part, the general secretary of Felapyme, Daniel González, also recalled that this type of initiative seeks to promote "the modernization and digital transformation" of the sector, improve the shopping experience and make Lanzarote's local commerce more visible.
A simple registration
Finally, the Cabildo of Lanzarote reminds that businesses can register for the campaign until August 31 and that they must complete a simple form enabled on the Consume Lanzarote website to formalize their participation.
Each participating business will be able to redeem a total of 6,000 euros - through the vouchers acquired by customers - throughout the campaign. The sale and exchange of cards will be open until September 30 or until stocks run out.
