The Cabildo of Lanzarote is participating in the Fuerteventura Agricultural, Livestock and Fisheries Fair (FEAGA 2025), which is being held until next Sunday, April 6, at the Pozo Negro Experimental Farm.
This event, the most important in the Canary Islands aimed at the primary sector, is an excellent platform oriented towards the exchange, promotion and recognition of agricultural activity.
Saborea Lanzarote is present with a stand where local products can be tasted. In addition, different gastronomic workshops of cheeses, sweet potatoes, wines, gins and gofio from Lanzarote will be held, among other products, as well as tastings and pairings.
The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, highlighted that "Lanzarote and La Graciosa have a unique gastronomic heritage, which is part of our identity and a lever for economic development. Being at FEAGA 2025 allows us to continue promoting our primary sector and producers, promoting the excellence of our products and reinforcing our commitment to a tourism model based on sustainability and quality."
For her part, the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Nori Machín, who attended the inauguration this Friday, underlined the joint effort to make the primary sector and its value in the island's gastronomy visible.
"From the Cabildo of Lanzarote we continue working to strengthen the connection between the primary sector and restaurants. FEAGA is an unbeatable opportunity for our products to reach new markets and to continue promoting the consumption of our products, both inside and outside the island."
"With the participation of Saborea Lanzarote in this fair, our products are valued as a key part of the economic development and identity of Lanzarote and La Graciosa," concludes the councilor, who took the opportunity to invite citizens to visit FEAGA this weekend and the Lanzarote stand.
